Discover Pallagrello and Casavecchia aged in amphora

Our vineyards, located at an altitude that varies between 240 and 280 meters. asl, are located in the municipalities of Piedimonte Matese, Alife and Gioia Sannitica, in the Matese Regional Park, in the province of Caserta. The vineyard area, characterized by mainly calcareous and calcareous-clayey soils, is approximately 5ha and has a SOUTH/SOUTH-EAST exposure.

After the alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks, the wines pass into terracotta amphorae where they spend from six to nine months before being bottled. This operation allows micro-oxygenation and a natural evolution of the wine.

A wine fit for a king:the one preferred by Ferdinand IV of Bourbon

Il Tempo is the pallagrello obtained from the processing of the red berried grapes of the vine of the same name, much loved by the King of the two Sicilies, who found a particularly suitable production area in Piedimonte Matese. With its ruby red color, the aromas of flowers and red fruit, the spicy and balsamic notes, the freshness on the palate and the velvety tannins, it expresses all the essence of Matese: wild, luxuriant and welcoming.

From the golden bunches of Pallagrello we obtain La Volta, a white wine with a straw yellow color that suggests to the nose that it grew up among tufts of mint and chamomile, hedges of hawthorn and broom and citrus, pear and apple trees. The sip – fresh, mineral and balanced – reminds you, however, that Matese was once covered by the sea.

Lastly, L'Arca is the expression of Casavecchia grown on the Matese hills. This vine, in fact, is historically linked to another mountain range in Caserta which is that of the Monti Trebulani. It is intense ruby red with hints of violets, violets, ripe red fruit and spices. With its elegant and harmonious tannins it is a passepartout for every convivial moment.
